The staff greeted me with sparkling wine upon arrival, which set a lovely tone. My room had a spectacular view of the river, and it was spacious and clean. The old building had character, with some charming original features. Breakfast offered a good variety, and the complimentary drink was welcome after a long drive. However, I wished for more amenities in the bathroom. both shampoo and toiletries were limited. The noise from the nearby road was noticeable at times, which affected my sleep. It didn't have the soundproofing I hoped for, but my overall stay felt pleasant because of the warm hospitality.

The room had a lovely view of the Rhine. and I enjoyed the warm hospitality from all the staff. The location was perfect for exploring nearby attractions like the historic castle and Loreley statue.
The bathroom amenities could have been more generous. and occasional noise from the street was a little distracting.

historical, historical, historical
I loved exploring this charming historical building that dates back to 1700, and the owners eagerly shared fascinating stories about its past. The views from my room were nothing short of fine-right on the Rhine banks with easy access to scenic cruise boats. Breakfast was a feast for the senses, featuring fresh breads, cheeses, meats, and eggs that set the perfect tone for my day.

Beautiful views of the Rhine from our room.
During our stay, the breakfast selection was severely limited compared to what we had experienced elsewhere. Additionally, the bathroom amenities were sparse, which was disappointing. The noise from the street was also disruptive and made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.

The stay was quite a memorable one, mainly because of the fantastic breakfast each morning—it had a superb selection of breads, cheeses, meats, and eggs. We were also lucky to park right in front of the building for free since we arrived late and left early. As a couple, we enjoyed the historical feel of the building, which still holds some original features despite its age. While the room was basic and could use a touch of modernization, it was clean and comfortable for our short visit.

Just a reliable pick for strolling around in Sankt Goar with excellent value for money. The free parking outside was a nice bonus. Bring your own snacks to supplement breakfast options since they are limited.
